Cursor Hackathon Vancouver is a one-day, in-person hackathon where developers, designers, and AI enthusiasts come together to Build Something Agents Want.
Join 150+ builders at BCIT Downtown Vancouver on May 10, 2026 for 8 hours of intense building, powered by Cursor and over $3,000 in prizes.
Whether you are building AI agents, developer tools, or creative applications, this is your chance to ship something real in one day.
Event Schedule (All times PDT)- 9:00 AM - Doors open, breakfast, team formation
- 10:00 AM - Kickoff and sponsor lightning talks
- 10:30 AM - Hacking begins
- 1:00 PM - Lunch
- 6:00 PM - Submissions close

Requirements
Build any software project that fits the theme Build Something Agents Want. This includes but is not limited to:
- AI agents and autonomous systems
- Developer tools and productivity apps
- Creative applications powered by AI
- Infrastructure and tooling for agent ecosystems
You may use any programming language, framework, or AI tool.
What to SubmitEach submission must include:
- Project description - what it does and why it matters
- Tech stack - languages, frameworks, APIs used
- Demo link or video - show your project in action
- GitHub repository - source code must be accessible
Teams may submit to one Grand Prize track and one or more Sponsor Prize tracks.

Grand Prize (Cursor)
1st Place: $1,000 Cursor Credit + Web Summit Vancouver ticket (per team member). 2nd Place: $500 Cursor Credit. 3rd Place: $300 Cursor Credit.
