Dates

May 10, 2026. Hacking: 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM PDT. All submissions due by 6:30 PM PDT.

Eligibility

Open to all skill levels. Students, professionals, and hobbyists are welcome. Must be present in person at BCIT Downtown Vancouver on May 10.

Team Size

Teams of 1 to 4 people. Solo participation allowed. Team formation happens at 9:00 AM on event day.

Project and Submission Requirements
  • All projects must be started from scratch during the hackathon. No pre-built projects.
  • Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and boilerplate/starter templates is allowed.
  • Projects must be submitted on Devpost before 6:30 PM PDT, May 10.
  • Each submission must include: project description, tech stack, demo link or video, and GitHub repo.
  • Teams may submit to one Grand Prize track and one or more Sponsor Prize tracks.
Prizes

Grand Prize (Cursor):

  • 1st Place: $1,000 Cursor Credit + Web Summit Vancouver ticket (per team member)
  • 2nd Place: $500 Cursor Credit
  • 3rd Place: $300 Cursor Credit

Sponsor Prize Tracks:

  • Best Use of Greptile: $600 CAD
  • Best Use of Nia: $500 CAD
  • Best Use of CLōD: $500 CAD
  • Best Use of AllScale: $300 CAD
  • Best Use of BGA: 300 USDT

All Participants: $50 Cursor Pro credit + $25 USD CLōD API credits

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Grand Prize is judged by the organizer panel:

  • Creativity and Innovation (30%) - originality, unique problem approach
  • Impact and Usefulness (30%) - problem significance, real-world applicability
  • Technical Implementation (20%) - code quality, architecture, technical complexity
  • Demo and Presentation (20%) - demo quality, storytelling, completeness

Sponsor Prize Tracks are judged independently by each sponsor.
